Rovnag Abdullayev attends inauguration of judo monument - VIDEO

The opening ceremony of the judo monument was held in front of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Report informs that President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, member of the IJF Executive Committee Rovnag Abdullayev also attended the event.

President  of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach and IJF President Marius Vizer spoke about the history and popularity of this sport. They then removed the cover from the monument.

During the ceremony Rovnag Abdullayev met with Bach and Vizer. The sides discussed development of sport, including judo in Azerbaijan, as well as issues of mutual interest.
