Person, living in Baku under a different name will be extradited to Turkey - DECISION

Baku. 4 May. REPORT.AZ/ Today hearing regarding extradition of Mehmet Halil oğlu Sünmez, who committed crime in Turkey 12 years ago and detained in Azerbaijan, was held at Baku Court of Grave Crimes.

Report informs, advocate of the accused Vasif Israfilov made an address in the trial, presided by judge Fikrat Garibov.

In the speech, he asked to adopt a decision on non-extradition of the accused person to the Republic of Turkey. The lawyer stated that M.Sünmez is not a person named as Yılmaz Akbaba and has not committed crime in Turkey.

In his testimony, M.Sünmez said that he doesn't want to be extradited to Turkey.

Then a decision has been declared. 

The court has adopted a decision on extraditing M.Sünmez to the Republic of Turkey.
