Latest updates on situation in sliding areas in Azerbaijan

Baku. 19 October. REPORT.AZ/ The recent situation in the sliding areas has been published in Azerbaijan.

Head of the geological planning expedition at the National Service of Geological Exploration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Aziz Garalov said activeness is observed in the sliding areas in Zikh settlement, Zeli lake in Masazir and At yali settlement.

He said activeness is also observed in Shamakhi and Ismayilli regions: "Tension is recorded in Muganli village of Shamakhi, Ismayilli highway and the 132nd kilometer of the Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh highway, in some places the avalanche type landslides were observed. Moreover, two months ago a landslide was observed in Goydan village of Ismayilli's Lagich and it is now in the active phase with the sliding mass reaching the walls of the residential houses. Avalanche type landslide occurred in Lerik, Yardimli, a few kilometers away from Lerik."
