ANAMA head meets with US charge d'affaires in Azerbaijan 

The Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) Vugar Suleymanov has met with the US charge d'affaires in Azerbaijan, Hugo Guevara, Report informs, citing the Agency.

The ambassador was informed about the Agency's history, general activities, new goals set after the Second Patriotic War, as well as the humanitarian demining operations carried out in Karabakh based on the priorities.

Hugo Guevara expressed his high appreciation of the demining activities carried out in the territories liberated from occupation. During the meeting, the sides exchanged ideas on the possible contribution of the US to ANAMA in the fight against the threat of explosive devices and the expansion of the partnership to create a safe environment in Karabakh.
