143 illegal migrants detained in Azerbaijan last week

143 foreigners were detained during the measures taken against illegal migration by the State Migration Service last week, Report informs citing the State Migration Service.

It was stated that 5 of them were identified during the investigation organized jointly with the State Security Service.

As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that 8 detainees were engaged in activities that are incompatible with the declared purpose, 6 people were involved in illegal labor activity, 1 person did not live on the registration address, while the rest 128 live illegally in the territory of the country.

Administrative decisions have been taken on 129 detained people. Relative measures are also taken to deport other foreigners from the territory of Azerbaijan.

The State Migration Service continues its activities as part of the combat against illegal migration.
