Azerbaijan supports UN’s climate campaign

Azermarka LLC, under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, has released ACT NOW postage stamps as a joint issue in many countries at the initiative of the United Nations. Report informs referring to the Ministry.

The ActNow campaign was launched at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 24) in December 2018, with a call from Sir David Attenborough in conjunction with the award-winning “People’s Seat” initiative.

The campaign suggests ten simple actions to educate and encourage individuals worldwide to change consumption and behavior patterns. By changing habits and making choices that have less harmful effects on the environment, each one of us has the power to reduce our own contribution to climate change.

Take shorter showers

Drive less – walk and cycle more

Buy local produce

Turn the lights off in rooms that aren’t used

Upcycle your old clothes

Don’t discard plastic bottles – reuse them

Bring your bag when shopping

Recycle

Eat less meat

Save energy.
