"Several startups in Azerbaijan already have an access to international markets," Minister of Transport, Communication and High Technologies
According to him, innovative transfer centers will be established in Azerbaijan: "Hightech Invest company has already started to produce Acer computers. President’s order on increasing effectiveness in innovative development and provision of coordinated work contributed to acceleration of the processes. The order includes a number of tasks. In order to fulfill these tasks, we are operating in a number of directions. The first is to help local entrepreneurs get modern technologies and technological solutions. For this purpose, technological transfer centers will be established and relevant services will be provided to the entrepreneurs. The second is to apply relevant support mechanisms. These include granting of preferential loans to innovative projects, as well as startups. The ministry has already been operating on this direction for years. During this period, startups got 117 grants, 16 entrepreneurship subjects received preferential loans. We’ll continue to extend support. The third is to promote innovative entrepreneurship. Several steps have already been taken in this direction. Moreover, we want the entrepreneurs to support business within I2B - From Idea to Business project."
