Azerbaijan appeals to int'l organizations regarding Armenian hackers

Azerbaijan's State Service of Special Communication and Information Security has appealed to international organizations fighting cybercrime regarding three Armenian hackers, Tural Mammadov, head of the State Service, said at a conference on "Fraud during the pandemic in Azerbaijan," Report informs.

In June 2020, people received letters on behalf of Fuad Musayev. Those who have some knowledge in this field can understand that this is a suspicious case by looking at the e-mail address," Mammadov said.

He said that the State Service had identified the e-mail as a cyber attack.

"As a result of our investigation, it became clear that the Armenian company IT Security LLC (itsec.am) was behind this attack. Through this company, we found out that Armen Gnuni, Iranian Armenian Ara Babakhani, Ashot Mnatsakanyan carried out the attack under the name of Fuad Musayev, and we informed the relevant authorities to assess the crime at the international level," he added.
