This week, 3.8 million people worldwide have contracted coronavirus, and more than 47,000 people have died from COVID-19, Report informs, citing the World Health Organization.

The death toll has dropped by 10% this week compared to last week.

According to the organization, on November 22-28, 3,799,878 people were infected with COVID-19 a day worldwide, and 47,524 people died. During the week, the highest number of infections was registered in the United States (464,800), Germany (406,754), Great Britain (304,374), Russia (239,215), and France (190,402).

Globally, as of 30 November 2021, there have been 261,435,768 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 5,207,634 deaths, reported to WHO. Thus, 398,754 people were infected with COVID-19, and 5,901 people died from the virus over the past day.
