Azerbaijan to issue indefinite certificate to those vaccinated by booster shot

Those revaccinated with a booster shot will receive an indefinite vaccination certificate, reads a joint statement of the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and the Azerbaijani Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), Report informs.

The statement notes that vaccination is the most effective way to prevent complications from new and rapidly spreading strains of the COVID-19 virus.

Currently, the vaccination process is underway in the country in accordance with the Covid-19 Vaccination Strategy in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021-2022. As a result of the active participation of the population in vaccination, the epidemiological situation in Azerbaijan remains stable.

The statement notes that five months after vaccination with two doses of the COVID-19 jab, depending on the organism, resistance to this virus may decrease. In this regard, the injection of a booster dose is recommended to re-increase the body’s immunity to coronavirus infection.
