AQTA: Misuse of food additives poses a threat to human life

"The misuse of chemicals added to any food supplement or product poses a threat to human life," Samir Rustamli, Head of the Certification and Import-Export Control Division at Food Safety Agency said during a seminar on the safety of food additives.

According to him, it was revealed that sometimes food additives are used for other purposes or the dose exceeds the norm: “Providing food and food security in the world leads to new challenges. The production of goods is complicated. The need for the packaging of goods, the use of food additives has grown in the world. In this regard, a seminar is held on the safety of food additives with the joint organization of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan, the Food Safety Institute and the US Agency for International Development. The main purpose of the seminar is to get acquainted with modern technologies in the relevant field and discuss trends".
