Zakir Hasənov held discussions with Chief of General Staff of Georgian Armed Forces

Baku. 16 October. REPORT.AZ Azerbaijani defense minister colonel general Zakir Hasanov who is on a visit in Georgia met with Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, mayor general, Vladimer Chachibaia.

Report informs V. Chachibaia stressed the development of friendship and close neighborhood relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia, also the constant deepening relations between the armed forces. He said Azerbaijani military personnel actively participates in the exercises, training and educational processes. Chief of General Staff added that his country is interested to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the military sphere.

Chachibaia underlined that Georgia supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani defense minister said the friendship ties between two countries played an important role in the deepening and strengthening of relations in military sphere as well. The minister said Azerbaijan attaches a great importance to military cooperation with neighboring and friendly Georgia.

Afterwards, there was a wide exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest. Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia Dursun Hasanov was present at the meeting.
