Visit program of co-rapporteurs of PACE Monitoring Committee to Azerbaijan published

Baku. 9 June. REPORT.AZ/ Stefan Schennach (Austria, SOC) and Cezar Florin Preda (Romania, EPP/CD), co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for the monitoring of Azerbaijan, will make a fact-finding visit to the country from 12 to 14 June 2017, Report informs referring to press service of the PACE.

In Baku, the co-rapporteurs are due to meet, subject to confirmation, with the President of the Republic, the Speaker of Parliament, the Minister of Justice, the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, the General Prosecutor, the Chairmen of the Supreme and Constitutional Courts, the State Security Service and the Ombudsperson.

Mr Schennach and Mr Preda are also due to meet representatives of civil society, lawyers, and representatives of extra-parliamentary opposition parties.
