US extended $ 1.3 billion in aid to Azerbaijan over past 27 years

"Since 1992, the United States has given $ 1.3 billion to Azerbaijan," Christine Singh, Political Officer at the US Embassy in Azerbaijan said at the International Migration Law Seminar in Baku within the framework of “Strengthening cooperation for effective human trafficking through capacity building and technical support in Azerbaijan - Phase VI” project organized by US Department of State, the Government of Azerbaijan and the United Nations.

According to her, some migrants move to other countries to find job: "But they can thus become victims of human trafficking. I should note that Azerbaijan often used our help. Azerbaijan has to strengthen its borders. This is very important. These processes should be conducted in accordance with international migration policies. It is necessary to be loyal to the rule of law in the sphere of justice. I hope that by observing these laws, Azerbaijan's business environment will also be improved. "
