"During the 44-day war last year, Azerbaijanis showed heroism and liberated their territories from occupation. Thus, the world entered a new era: the invasion of foreign lands was not a sign of power, but a harbinger of isolation. We must now end the occupation of territories and the loss of human life," Ukrainian MPs Yuriy Kamelchuk, Lyudmila Marchenko and Maryan Zablotsky from the ruling People's Servant Party told Report in a statement on the anniversary of the beginning of the Patriotic War (Second Karabakh War).

The Ukrainian MPs noted that some of the most dangerous and unexpected clashes are so-called "frozen" hotbeds of conflict.

"Unfortunately, this new term only brought chaos to Karabakh, Transnistria, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and the Donbas. In Ukraine (Donbas), the conflict is still unresolved. But, the Azerbaijani state put an end to this. By restoring its territorial integrity, Azerbaijan has ensured the implementation of the four UN Security Council resolutions, the Declaration of the Council of Europe, and international law in general. Despite the terrible losses of the civilian population, rocket attacks and other victims, the people and the state of Azerbaijan managed to restore justice courageously. It was an example of resolving frozen conflicts in the post-Soviet space. The world has entered a new era, the invasion of foreign lands is not a sign of power, but a harbinger of isolation. Finally, the occupation of territories and the loss of human life must end. Today we remember with deep respect the memory of our brothers who died for the territorial integrity of both Ukraine and Azerbaijan! We will never forget these great people who died for the sake of victory and the future of their children," they said in the statement.

On September 27, 2020, under the leadership of victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the brave Azerbaijani Army launched counter-offensive operations along the entire front to prevent military provocations and combat activity of the Armenian Armed Forces and ensure the security of the civilian population.
