As soon as the borders are opened, Azerbaijani citizens will be able to travel to Turkey for medical, business, and leisure purposes, the Turkish embassy in Azerbaijan told Report.

“We are all waiting for the opening of borders that were closed due to the pandemic. Once the borders are opened and flights resume, there will be no need to quarantine upon arrival in Turkey. However, necessary measures will be taken to combat the virus,” said the diplomatic mission.

As Turkey has lifted restrictions on intercity travel, tourists will be able to visit the country’s cities freely, the embassy noted.

Earlier, Turkish Airlines announced it plans to resume Baku-Istanbul-Baku flights.
