Baku. 23 April. REPORT.AZ/ UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has apologized for not being able to visit Azerbaijan. He has sent a letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Report informs, the letter reads:
"I sincerely apologize from you and all the Azerbaijani people for I cannot visit Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia.
I hope that you will kindly understand my being in New York due to the specific period of the current global crises. Unfortunately, sometimes emergency situations happening in the world intervene our greatest desires and previous commitments.
I hope that I will determine mutually convenient time for my visit to Azerbaijan while I am the UN Secretary General.
Your Excellency, please accept my apologies and my highest respect."
