Russian lawmakers to observe presidential elections in Azerbaijan

Moscow. 8 February. REPORT.AZ/ Russian parliamentarians traditionally participate in the observation mission both in elections of the President of Azerbaijan and elections to Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament).

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affair Leonid Slutsky told the Russian bureau of Report News Agency.

According to him, Russian lawmakers need to undergo appropriate procedures to participate in the presidential elections in Azerbaijan on April 11.

"Invitations are sent to parliaments for participation in the presidential elections. This is a practice. And this time our deputies will be represented at the presidential elections in Azerbaijan”, Slutsky added. He noted that Azerbaijan prepares for the presidential elections "with a flourishing economy and developed parliamentary system".
