President: Azerbaijan hails Heart of Asia - Istanbul process as valuable mechanism for cooperation

Baku. 1 December. REPORT.AZ/ "Azerbaijan hails the Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process as a valuable mechanism for cooperation and dialogue, which brings peace, stabilization, stability and economic development of Afghanistan”.

Report informs, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said speaking at the opening ceremony of the 7th Ministerial Conference "Security and Economic Connectivity towards a Strengthened Heart of Asia Region" within the framework of the Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process in Baku.

He noted that since joining the process in 2012, Azerbaijan constantly participates in this multilateral platform.

"Respect and observance of the norms of international law, in which sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders take main place and not interference in internal relations is the cornerstone in ensuring regional and international security and stability. These principles underpin our relations and cooperation within the framework of the Istanbul process. And this is again reflected in the ministerial declarations", the head of state said.
