Bulgaria is interested in the opportunities for wider development of bilateral relations in the field of transport connectivity, which would help facilitate trade between Europe and Asia, political scientist, executive director of the Bulgarian School of Politics Ivan Nachev told Report.
The resumption of the direct airline between Baku and Sofia will contribute to the expansion of contacts between businesses and citizens of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.
Bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan are developing rapidly and are based on the interests of both countries.
The visit of Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova to Bulgaria is another contribution to the deepening of bilateral relations, which are conducted with great intensity.
"There are excellent relations between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, elevated to the level of strategic partnership, and an intensive political dialogue is taking place," he noted.
"The strategic dialogue between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan established in 2015 and the excellent bilateral relations are a prerequisite for expanding the spheres of cooperation between our two countries."
"Azerbaijan has become a desirable, reliable and priority partner for Bulgaria. It is time to establish a dialogue between the various parliamentary committees in the two legislative institutions," he added.
