Peruvian media outlets published an interview of Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov's interview with Ricardo Sanchez, Vice President of Peruvian Journalists Federation.

Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico told Report that the Deputy Minister spoke about Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan and the history of the conflict, gave information about the international documents, including the UN Security Council resolutions, which were ignored by Armenia.

Citing Mammadov, the article speaks about Armenia's actions to strengthen the consequences of the occupation and acts contrary to international law to delay the negotiation process for this purpose.

According to the article, Armenia has grossly violated international humanitarian law, illegally settled foreigners in the ethnically cleansed Azerbaijani lands, and tried to destroy Azerbaijan's cultural heritage in the occupied territories. The crimes against the Azerbaijani people and the bloody genocide committed in Khojaly were underlined.

The interview focused on the consequences of the 44-day war, Armenia's war crimes, including the shelling of the cities of Ganja, Horadiz, and Tartar outside the war zone, which killed innocent people and wounded hundreds.

At the same time, it was noted that demining, delimitation, and demarcation of borders in the liberated territories were among the most important issues of the Azerbaijani government. However, Armenia had not taken any steps to resolve these issues.

It was stressed that the Azerbaijani government would appeal to the European Court of Human Rights and the International Court of Justice in The Hague for the second time regarding the mass mining of the liberated territories, as well as the destruction of Azerbaijan's historical and cultural heritage by Armenians.

In the end, the Deputy Minister recalled the congratulations of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the newly elected President of the Republic of Peru and expressed hope that the sincere, friendly relations between the two countries will be further strengthened and expanded in the future, including within the Non-Aligned Movement.
