"Measures should be kicked off to strengthen mutual trust between Azerbaijan and Armenia," Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić said this during the PACE’s autumn session, the local bureau of Report informs.
According to her, the Council of Europe has begun to take measures to strengthen mutual trust between Azerbaijan and Armenia:
"Measures to strengthen mutual trust are important and play an important role in the post-conflict period. However, this is possible only with the consent of both parties."
The secretary-general also touched on the role of women in this end: "For this purpose, it is expedient to discuss issues that are far from politics. The role of women is one of the most advisable topics."
