Strasbourg. 27 June. REPORT.AZ/ Co-rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for Azerbaijan, Stefan Schennach will visit Azerbaijan in September, Western European bureau of Report News Agency was told by co-rapporteur himself.
According to him, during the visit he will hold meetings with a number of state officials and civil society representatives.
Notably, another PACE co-rapporteur, scheduled to visit Azerbaijan with S. Schennach, is expected to be elected at the summer session in Strasbourg.
Notably, PACE has dismissed Cesar Florin Predani from the position of co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan. The new co-rapporteur to substitue him was scheduled to be elected at the closed meeting of the Council of Europe Committee on 29 May in Paris. The reason for the postponement of the election was that no candidate was selected for this post.
