PACE co-rapporteurs released a statement on results of visit to Azerbaijan

Baku. 19 January. REPORT.AZ/ Co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Stefan Shennak and Cesar Florin Preda have issued a statement on results of their visit to Azerbaijan on January 12-14.

Report informs referring to the PACE press service, the co-rapporteurs expressed readiness to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan on reforms in a number of areas, including justice, freedom of speech and human rights.

The co-rapporteurs in a statement welcomed the readiness of Azerbaijani authorities to cooperate closely with the Council of Europe in the field of justice reforms.

The co-rapporteurs noted that they will provide information on results of their visit at one of the forthcoming meetings of the PACE Monitoring Committee.
