    New EU special representative for South Caucasus arrives in Azerbaijan

    Baku. 4 December. REPORT.AZ/ The new EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar has arrived in Azerbaijan.

    Report informs, during the visit on 4-5 December, Klaar will hold meetings with a number of the country's officials.

    This is Klaar's first visit to Baku after being appointed to the post.

    Notably, on November 13, the EU Council approved his candidacy for the post of EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia.

    Toivo Klaar succeeded Ambassador Herbert Salber, who held this position since July 8, 2014.
