Morocco's permanent representative to UN: ‘We have openly supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan’

"We have always openly supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and we will continue to support it in the future," Morocco's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Omar Hilale, told Report.

The diplomat said that the Kingdom of Morocco highly appreciates the active participation of Azerbaijan in the peace talks with Armenia: "Our position has been clear and precise. We have supported Azerbaijan's rightful position everywhere, including at the UN. Azerbaijan is an independent state and is fighting to preserve its territorial integrity. We will continue to support the contributions of brotherly Azerbaijan to peace and security, which is trying to build peace in the region. We hope that lasting peace will be achieved in the region soon. War should not be the solution. Morocco’s principled position is to support territorial integrity of Member States and the peaceful settlement of disputes around the world".
