Minister: Azerbaijan is close country for Ukraine

Azerbaijan is a very friendly and close country for Ukraine in every sense, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii said in an interview with Report during his trip to Ganja.

"You know, we have been talking for a long time that bridges should not separate, but bring people together. These are our air, sea railways. We are a country with a transit potential, and Azerbaijan is, too. Our routes are Europe-Caucasus-Asia, the new Silk Road, and we are actively working on it. I am grateful to the Azerbaijani side that we are dynamically involved in the process. We want to convince our colleagues and other friendly republics to have common customs documents, procedures, because the key issues in transport are cost and timing. That is why we want to combine efforts to make the most convenient simple procedures so that the alternative silk road operate with the greatest involvement of Ukraine and Azerbaijan. "

The minister also noted that Azerbaijan is a multicultural country: "We are always happy to export part of our culture here and, conversely, import part of Azerbaijani culture in order to bring the cultural heritage of our countries as close as possible. This arouses great interest among our citizens and contributes to development of tourism, which is also a priority."
