MFA reveals reason for not evacuating Azerbaijani citizens from Turkiye by plane

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens from quake-affected areas of Turkiye by plane.

Aykhan Hajizada, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told Report that evacuation will be carried out by buses.

According to him, there is no decision yet on evacuation by airplanes: "Evacuation by buses is more comfortable and faster. Planes sometimes have to wait. Certain difficulties can be experienced in airplanes. Because most of them are cargo planes. Also, due to the current situation, not all airports accept passenger planes. Because there is a lot of flow."

Hajizada noted that the evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens continued yesterday.
