Lavrov: OSCE has now become extension of NATO and EU

“Unfortunately, the OSCE has now become an extension of NATO and the EU, and there are more questions than answers about the organization’s future,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during his speech at the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council, Report informs.

He accused NATO of destroying the security system in Europe.

The Russian Foreign Minister reminded that NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia in 1999 and then separated Kosovo from it.

Lavrov also accused NATO of forcing the former Soviet republics to oppose Russia.

“After Mikheil Sarkashvili was promised NATO membership at the NATO Bucharest Summit in 2008, Georgia attacked South Ossetia,” Lavrov said.

According to him, NATO is now involving Moldova in the same processes and is trying to resolve the conflict in Transnistria by force.
