Israeli envoy: We honor memory of Azerbaijanis who fought against Nazism

“This year, Azerbaijan and Israel will celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations. In this regard, we have a plan of events and visits from both sides. We hope that Azerbaijan will open an embassy in Israel this year,” Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek said, Report informs.

“We live in a world where peoples, including those in Azerbaijan and Israel, have gone through a lot. Today we celebrate International Holocaust Remembrance Day. And on this day, we also honor the memory of the Azerbaijanis who fought against Nazism,” the Israeli envoy said.

“The world is still full of hatred, which leads to terrible events. With so much murder and hate in the world, we must remember this," the ambassador said.
