Iran appoints new Consul General to Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan

Baku. 28 January. REPORT.AZ/ A new Consul General of the Republic of Iran Islam to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was appointed. Report informs referring to AzerTAg, a new Consul General Mansur Ayrim stated that and there are favorable conditions for further expansion of the economy, trade, social and cultural relations with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Consul General said that the 4-time meeting of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran during the previous year and the mutual official visits paved the important way for further development and expansion of the two neighboring countries' relations. In addition, the issue of enhancing cooperation in various sectors of the economy was reviewed at the meeting of the Iranian-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Economic Commission held in Baku in August 2014 that enabled the realization of joint economic projects in the near future.

Mansur Ayrim will begin to work as Consul General of Iran in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in March.
