Head of State Duma Committee: Upcoming visit of Russian President to Azerbaijan will bring serious agreements

Baku. 21 September. REPORT.AZ/ The official visit of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to Azerbaijan is scheduled for September 25-27, head of the State Duma (lower house of Russian parliament) Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov said.

Report informs that he was speaking at a press conference held in Baku.

"The Russian president will visit Baku approximately on September 26. After that, both presidents - Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev - plan to take part in the summit of the CIS countries, which will be held in Dushanbe on September 28," he said.

According to the head of the State Duma committee, Russia is interested in developing relations with its closest neighbors.

"I think that the upcoming visit will bring serious agreements between Russia and Azerbaijan," Kalashnikov said, adding that a package of documents is expected to be signed in a number of areas.
