Ministry reveals measures to be taken against foreign companies illegally operating in Karabakh

Measures are being taken against some companies and individuals operating illegally in Karabakh during the years of occupation, Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov said at a press conference on the dismissal of Armenia's claim against Azerbaijan in the International Court of Justice.

"As these are not interstate complaints, they are analyzed depending on the territories in which these companies operate, legal decisions, and other factors. In each case, depending on the results of the analysis, decisions are made to take these measures," he said.

"Therefore, this issue is not considered in the framework of interstate complaints. Because we are not talking about a court decision that will remain on paper. It is about the implementation of that court decision. For this, there must be certain assets of individuals and legal entities engaged in illegal business activities in the occupied territories so that a court decision can be enforced against those assets," he said.
