The North-South International Transport Corridor, a safe, cost-effective route between Europe and Asia, will greatly contribute to the development of transport in the Eurasian space, Ambassador-at-Large of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Azerbaijan Fakhraddin Gurbanov said at an event dedicated to the Republic Day of India in Baku, Report informs.
According to Fakhraddin Gurbanov, within the framework of the project, in June-July 2021, for the first time, cargo was transported from the Finnish city of Helsinki to Mumbai through the territory of Azerbaijan.
“Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and India were established on February 28, 1992. Many cultural events were organized in Azerbaijan and India since last year our diplomatic relations turned 30,” he added.
