Baku. 19 May. REPORT.AZ/ Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov met with Secretary General of Islamic Cooperation Organization, Iyad bin Amid Madani on his visit to Azerbaijan to attend the Third World Intercultural Dialogue Forum.
Report was told by the press service of theMinistry of Foreign Affairs(MFA).
K.Khalafov said that Azerbaijan, which is a part of Islamic world and culture, attaches great importance to its relations with the OIC and noted that condemning the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan and sustainably supporting Azerbaijani fair position are highly appreciated.
The Secretary-General expressed concerns over the current situation in Yemen and said that this issue will be discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the OIC Ministerial Conference.
In this regard, Khalaf Khalafov stressed that Azerbaijan supports activities and efforts in the framework of the OIC, that bring peace to Yemen.
During the meeting, the sides discussed recent activities of OIC and the agenda of the Ministerial Conference to be held in Kuwait.
