Deputy FM: "Strong relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan continue"

"Heydar Aliyev was a great friend of Georgia," Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Vladimir Konstantinidi told the opening ceremony of a photo exhibition dedicated to Heydar Aliyev in Tbilisi, the local bureau of Report informs.

He stressed that Heydar Aliyev went down in history as the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state: "It was during his rule that strong relations were established between Azerbaijan and Georgia, and these close ties continue today."

Stressing that he was honored to participate in the exhibition, the deputy foreign minister wished the people of Azerbaijan peace and prosperity.
