Azerbaijan is a strategic partner and reliable friend of Ukraine both in bilateral relations and in international organizations, Report quotes, Deputy FM of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar, via Ukrinform.
Deputy Foreign Minister said during the scientific and practical conference, "We are all Azerbaijanis!" held in Kyiv on the occasion of the national salvation Day of the Azerbaijani people.
"For us, Azerbaijan is a strategic partner, an important friend that we can rely on."
According to him, Kyiv and Baku have a clear plan for the development of bilateral relations in a year, and cooperation is successfully underway within the framework of international and regional organizations. Azerbaijan is an " exemplary partner," he concluded.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Elmira Akhundova stressed the importance of the economic component of cooperation and interaction within GUAM.
During the conference, she presented her book - a three-volume research novel, "Heydar Aliyev. Personality and epoch". In her opinion, the secret of Aliyev can be expressed by Winston Churchill's statement that the only way to meet the circumstances that change is to change with them. The Ambassador stressed that after the return of Heydar Aliyev to the country's political leadership 27 years ago, many practical steps were taken to ensure the independence of Azerbaijan. These measures included the rapid creation of the Azerbaijani army and the spread of the ideology of Azerbaijanism, which helped to overcome inter-ethnic differences.
Akhundova also expressed hope that the book will be published in Ukraine by the anniversary of Heydar Aliyev's birth.
