Chairman of State Committee: Jojug Marjanli is symbol of Azerbaijani’s return to their native lands

Baku. 11 June. REPORT.AZ/ Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, Rovshan Rzayev met with head of UN High commisioner for  refugees regional office in the South Causcaus and head of UN High commisioner for refugees in Azerbaijan, Furio de Angelis.

Report was told by the State Committee, Rzayev said that large-scale projects at the state level are being implemented in our country to solve the problems of internally displaced people. It was noted that the solution of social problems of internally displaced people has always been in the spotlight of President Ilham Aliyev, and on the initiative of the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva consecutive and purposeful activities are being carried out, large-scale programs are being implemented.

It was noted that the decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev in connection with the reconstruction of the village of Jojug Marjanli, liberated during the April events, is a historic event. Cocuq Marcanli is a symbol of return of the Azerbaijani people to their native lands. The restoration of this village clearly demonstrates that our people are determined to return our other occupied territories.

The chairman of the State Committee noted that UN High commisioner for refugees has been implementing various projects to address IDPs' problems. The long-term and sustainable activity of the organization has been appreciated positively.
