Azerbaijani delegation attend event of International Anti-Corruption Academy

Baku. 5 October. REPORT.AZ/ The 6th session of the Assembly of Parties to the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) was held in Sharm El Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt.

Report was informed in the press service of Prosecutor General's Office, Azerbaijan was represented at the event with a delegation led by Kamran Aliyev, Deputy Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Chief of Anti-Corruption Department under the auspices of Prosecutor General. The delegation from Azerbaijan comprised of employees of Anti-Corruption General Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Taxes.

Kamran Aliyev addressed the session and told about legislative and institutional reforms carried out to fight corruption in Azerbaijan under the political will and leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, as well a role of General Directorate and “ASAN Service” centers in prevention of corruption and bribery cases, also gave comprehensive information to participants of the event about bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and IACA. He underlined the achievements of Azerbaijan in this field.

The organizational and legal issues on different aspects of the academy’s activity were discussed at the event.

During the visit, Azerbaijani delegation had bilateral meetings with the head of IACA, Martin Kreutner, delegations of Egypt and other states  exchanging views on perspectives of mutual cooperation in the field of fight against corruption.

The ambassador of Azerbaijan to Egypt, Tural Rzayev attended the meetings.
