Azerbaijani ambassador: President Ilham Aliyev always supported Recep Tayyip Erdogan

President Ilham Aliyev always supported Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Türkiye Rashad Mammadov said in an interview with TRT Haber, according to Report.

He noted that the friendship between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan is not only a friendship of the presidents of the fraternal states but also personal relationships: "President Ilham Aliyev always supported Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This was so both before and after elections."

The diplomat noted that the relations between the two countries are deepening: "We have solved most of the problems facing us."
