Azerbaijan to sign agreements with some countries in intellectual property

The Intellectual Property Agency of Azerbaijan and the Federal Service for Intellectual Property of Russia will sign a memorandum of understanding.

According to Report, the draft memorandum has already been completed and initialed. The document is planned to be signed during one of the Azerbaijan-Russia high-level meetings.

The final version of the draft 'Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of protection of industrial property' was also submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.

Besides, work on the draft 'Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the Field of Intellectual Property between the Intellectual Property Agency Azerbaijan and the State Service for Intellectual Property and Innovation under the Government of Kyrgyzstan' has been completed.

The Patent and Trademark Office of Turkey (TURKPATENT) and the Intellectual Property Agency agreed on a draft Memorandum of Understanding on protecting the industrial property to expand the regulatory framework of relations with Turkey.

This document will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for comments by relevant government agencies soon.
