MFA: Azerbaijan strongly supports all steps of Turkey

The spokesperson of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Leyla Abdullayeva responded to the journalists' questions.

Report presents the question addressed to Abdullayeva and the answer of the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman:

- How would you comment on Turkey's activities in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Armenian Foreign Ministry's statement in this regard?

- The Azerbaijani side strongly supports brotherly Turkey's steps based on international law to ensure peace and stability in the region, which has historically played a vital role in the development and progress of the Mediterranean region. We express the hope that the existing tensions will be resolved soon.

In this regard, third parties' attempts to use the situation for their hostile and biased approach to the countries in the region must be firmly rejected. The Armenian side's position and statements, which include baseless accusations against Turkey, should be condemned and dismissed as an attempt to abuse the sensitive situation in the Mediterranean for its narrow political interests.
