Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister holds discussions with UAE Minister of State

On May 19, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates Ahmed Al Sayegh through video conferencing.

Report informs, citing the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, that the sides discussed the issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and mutual support for each other's candidates and initiatives within international organizations.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed the opposite side on the latest situation in the region and the implementation of the trilateral statement.

The ministers also stressed the importance of developing economic cooperation between the two countries. In particular, they discussed existing cooperation between the two countries in the field of alternative energy.

At the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
