"The next summit of Turkic-speaking countries was held on March 31. Due to the pandemic, the meeting took place online. At this conference, we were even happier because of the victory of brotherly Azerbaijan over Karabakh," Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) Baghdad Amreyev told Report's Turkish bureau.
He thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his active participation in the summit:
"I think that with the liberation of Azerbaijani lands, relations between the transport and communication network and the Turkic-speaking countries will further expand. I even visited the freed Fuzuli and Aghdam regions. I am confident that all companies and government agencies of our countries will willingly take part in the restoration of the liberated territories in Karabakh. I believe that in the near future, we will achieve a high level of cooperation with the Turkic states in the East and West in these areas too. We have witnessed the active support of President Ilham Aliyev in this field."
