Ambassador: Relations with Azerbaijan expanded after Pakistani PM's visit to Baku

Baku. 8 August. REPORT.AZ/ “The relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan have expanded; a number of visits of high-ranking officials, including the working visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Pakistan for the summit of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (OEC), have been paid, after the visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Azerbaijan in October 2016.”

Report informs, Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Said Khan Mohmand said at a briefing.

According to him, a meeting between the President of Azerbaijan and Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif was held within the framework of the visit. An agreement on the increase of the level of trade turnover and expansion of business ties was reached at the meeting.

In regard to this, the diplomat recalled various visits, paid between the two countries over the last several months, and the signed documents.

The Ambassador also noted that the “Expo Pakistan” exhibition would be held in Karachi on October 9-12. According to the Ambassador, AZPROMO has also been invited to the exhibition. Said Khan Mohmand expressed hope that Azerbaijan would take part in this exhibition.
