Paris. 17 October. REPORT.AZ/ "Azerbaijan is a good example for Muslim countries," Advisor to the French Ministry of Education, President of the Mesopotamian Association, academician Soyer Alain told the Western European Bureau of Report.
According to him, most of the countries are secularized in the 21st century and religion is separated from the state:
“However, the process did not take place in the same way in all countries. The main factor causing the formation and functioning of radical groups in some Muslim countries is the lack of balanced relationship between religion and the state. Today, in a number of Muslim countries, religion does not dominate the state, and government does not try to eliminate religion. Turkey and Azerbaijan are among these rare countries. The state-religion relations in Azerbaijan are built on a good principle and regulated at the highest level. For this reason, neither wars nor revolutions took place in Turkey or Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is a good example for Muslim countries".
