UEFA plans to hold the final stages of the Champions League and Europa League in August.

The idea is also to keep the finals where they were originally going to be played in Istanbul and Gdansk, respectively, Report says citing Marca.

There are still 17 matches left to be played in the Champions League, with Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona still involved from Spain.

Meanwhile, there are 27 matches remaining in the Europa League.

UEFA's board of executives will meet again on May 27 to discuss the future scheduling of their competitions.

The plan is to hold the Champions League final on August 29, leaving the start of next season's group stages until October 20.
