Sporting preparing for Qarabag match

Baku. 18 September. REPORT.AZ/ Portuguese Sporting club team has begun preparations for the match against Qarabag to be held in the first round of the UEFA Europa League group stage.

Report informs citing the official website of the Lisbon representative that Club president Frederico Varandas and manager Roberto Servero watched the first training after upsetting Maritimo with 3:1 score in the first round of the League Cup. Nani, the captain of the team, who missed the recent trainings and Maritimo match due to the muscle pain, also attended the preparation process at the stadium of the academy. However, forward Bas Dost continues his treatment.

Today’s morning and evening trainings of Sporting will be held closed. Midfielders Bruno Fernandez and Miguel Luis will also participate in the preparations. They did not participate in the last training because of minor injuries.

Notably, the Sporting-Qarabag match to be held at the Jose Alvalade stadium in Lisbon on September 20 will start at 23:00 Baku time.
