All appointments for the first match of the UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying round, which will be held between APOEL and Karabakh teams on August 6 in Cyprus have been announced.

Report informs that the match was entrusted to Italian referees led by Davide Massa. Fabiano Preti and Alberto Teqoni will assist him as sideline referees, and Rosario Abisso will be the fourth referee. Referee-inspector is Vladimir Antonov from Moldova, UEFA representative - Romano Clavadetscher from Switzerland.

Davide Massa has been a referee since 2014 and managed both APOEL and a match of Karabakh so far. The 38-year-old referee managed the match between APOEL and Vardar in Macedonia in the 2015-2016 season of the Champions League II qualifying round. The match ended in draw a 1:1 draw.

Massa also managed the II round match of the Europa League group stages between Karabakh and Arsenal in Baku, which was ended in favor of Arsenal – 0:3. One of Massa’s first games was the match of the European League II qualifying round between Baku’s Inter (currently, Keshle) and Swedish Elfsborg in 2014/2015, which ended in favor of Inter – 1:0.
