Leading coaches request UEFA to cancel rule of away goals in European Cups

Baku. 5 September. REPORT.AZ/ Europe's leading head coaches have applied to UEFA with a request to revise the rule of away goals in continental club matches, UEFA competitions director Giorgio Marchetti said after the forum of specialists in Swiss Nyon city, Report informs.

He noted that scoring an away goal is not as difficult as it was before. Therefore, the rule should be revised: "We’ll consider this appeal. They believe that the situation in football has changed and now the significance of the away goal is not the same as it was through the years the rule was applied."
